About Me

To begin, here is some relevant information about me.

I am a fully qualified Therapeutic Counsellor offering one-to-one sessions to ages 11 upwards. I am passionate about the many benefits that counselling can provide, and work attentively to tailor it to the individual needs of everyone I work with.

The phrase ‘working with’ is central to my belief that counselling is a joint venture. I see my role as supportive rather than advisory and counsel in a way that allows my clients to find their own way forward. I think we are all capable of this, it is just that sometimes it becomes difficult to see things clearly and make sense of everything.

Alongside the work I do as a self-employed counsellor, I presently work at a council run service in Poole providing one-to-one counselling for 11-19 year olds. My background in secondary teaching has led me to specialise in this area of counselling. I also work at the AECC University College providing counselling for the students.
