After initial contact, which can be over the phone or via e-mail or text message, we can arrange to meet for an introductory session.
This will give you the opportunity to see if I am someone you would feel comfortable working with. I will gather some basic information to enable me to know if I will be able to offer you the support you are looking for.
I believe it is so important to find the counsellor who is the right ‘fit’ for you, so there is never any obligation after this first session. If you do decide to proceed with working together, we can either try and find a regular slot for a session, or book week by week. In my experience, having regular sessions, at least initially, really helps clients to get the most from the counselling. I offer both long and short-term counselling, and this can be reviewed as we go along. Ultimately, it will always be your choice, and I will do my best to provide what works for you.
